Praxia Update

Daily orthopaedic literature digest

Privacy Policy

Last updated 13 June 2026

Praxia Update is a current‑awareness tool for clinicians. It is built to need as little of your data as possible. In plain terms: there is no account, no sign‑in, and no advertising or analytics tracking.

What the app does with data

Calendar access

If you choose “Add to my Calendar”, the app asks for permission to add events to your calendar (write‑only on iOS 17 and later). It uses this only to add each day’s issue as an event. The app does not read your existing calendar or other events. Those events then sync through whatever account your device’s Calendar uses (for example iCloud, Google or Outlook) under that provider’s own privacy terms.

Notifications

New‑issue alerts are generated on your device after a background check of the public issue feed. We do not operate a server that profiles you or collects your activity to send them.

Email digest (optional)

If you choose to receive the digest by email, the only information collected is the email address you enter, used solely to send you the digest. It is never sold or used for advertising. If you subscribe through your calendar’s own email notifications, that email is handled by your calendar provider, not by us.

Data we do not collect

We do not collect your name, location, contacts, health records, or any clinical data. The app is an alerting aid and does not ask you to enter patient or personal health information.

Third parties

The app retrieves data from the U.S. National Library of Medicine (PubMed) and is hosted on GitHub Pages. As with any internet service, those providers may log standard technical request information (such as IP address) to operate and secure their service. We do not receive or store that information.

Children

Praxia Update is intended for healthcare professionals and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above will change. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
